Yesterday I went to Tea With Thalassa. I was a little late, but she was just going over the history of Tarot. Stuff I had heard during her other classes and so I wasn't left behind if you will. Then we took a break and I saw she had Hello, Tarot! Yes Hello Kitty has her own tarot deck and Batz Maroo(sp) is all over the suite of swords. I MUST have this deck! And it is just so darn cute! Then it was back to discussing in more detail the Rider-Waite/Smith deck and it being the "first" deck to illustrate the minor arcana and how the Pictorial Key to The Tarot is just junk!(So if you wanna read something kinda dry and very Victorian in it's view, have at it!) Next was discussing how the 1960's changed how people look at Tarot and such. Then It was try a reading time. However what we did was everyone had a deck and shuffled. Then we each read one card for every person in the room, ie everyone shuffled their deck while thinking of one the people at the table and we all interpreted our card for that person. It was interesting to me to see the cards dealt and how the person interpreted their card in relation to the person being read for. And each deck was different and so you saw different images of familiar cards and how other could visualize an image. Okay so I just had a great afternoon. And what did I get you ask? Well...
First- The Sun
Second- The Queen of Cups
Third- The Sage(King) of Pentacles
Fourth- 9 of Cups
Fifth- 5 of Cups(It looked like the Borg had landed! Odd image!)
Sixth- Death
Seventh- 9 of Wands(I drew this one)
Each image was from different deck which made it flow uniquely and still it made sense. And last we got to pick a card from the Thalassaland bag O' Cards and I got...*drum roll* The 10 of Swords!Yeah. There are no bad cards, just cards with issues! So off to try to figure out what is in store for my week, day, whatever, and see how all this plays out. TSW(This S*** Works) is so true and it can just be a little creepy unless you say okay so do I want to believe it or not? To each his own, but when you read for some one you don't know and they say"How did you know that?!" You just have to say "I just am telling you what you put before me. Obviously your "High spirit"(Or God or what every you believe in) wanted you to hear this from someone else since you weren't listening to them."(No I have never said that! I just have said"I don't know, it is just what I see."
Okay now on to getting stuff done at home!
I sent out an email yesterday that needed to be sent. I feel much better about it and if nothing happens then fine. At least I said it and I feel better about getting it out. And it is now done. I hope some thing can happen, as that would be cool, but who knows. At least I know I wasn't totally afraid to get it out, even if it would have been better in person. This way the respondent can have the knowledge and do as they wish. Okay enough.
Must go get new bed soon! I really need to do that. Have company in about a month or just under! Ugh! My house isn't ready!
Also saw SAVED! It was really terrific. It had me laughing and thinking and was really well done. It
didn't bash religion as much as it could have, but it did try to say that Jesus loves everyone, his followers are kinda of confused.(That is my take on it any way.) I would recommend it to you all, Pagan and Christian and everyone in between. Mandy Moore is great!*Throws a Bible at a former friend and says" I am FILLED with Christ's Love!" Yeah, funny.
Okay well off to do whatever today. Enjoy yours!
PS Still on Duran Duran Cloud 9! And just picked up Astronaut!
