So I have been trying to help a friend with her wedding planning. I have to say, NEVER let the bride handle everything! I love this girl, but I wish I had known some of the things she was doing long before this! Ah well. I will be doing what I can to help her and I know she will be happy in the end. The wedding is in 3 weeks! AHHHHHH... Okay. At least she has a dress, a hall and her friends and family will be there. The details will work themselves out in the end.
As for me I am starting at a "new" center tomorrow. I used to work at this one last summer,so I know a bunch of the kids. I am not really looking forward to the coworkers, but it will all work out in the end. I know it. I am still waiting on the Family Advoacte job I have applied for as well as looking towrds other places to work closer towards home. I am open and everyhting is going to be fine no matter what.
I talked to a friend of mine from High school yearerday. She got married last year and is two months pregnant! I also found out that the school I used to work at, and that my now college aged brother went to preschool at, closed this last May after 23 years! I was so surprised. Wow. Just wow. I had so many memories from that place. It is where I found out about my husband and my best friend(issues), where I watched a group of children grow from toddlers to pre-K kids, It is where I realized I might be a Pagan.("Miss Sally, Are you a witch"-Denzel child from Britian who was new."No Denzel. Why do you ask?""Because you look like one... like Glinda."-He danced off after that!). My baby brother when there from age 1 to 5 and it was because of his class they waited to start a kindergarten class there. He is now a Junior in COLLEGE! It was one of my first real jobs. And one of the last I had in Oakland. It is just amazing to think it is closed. hmmmm
Also went to UC Santa Cruz's Oaks College graduation and saw Laura Get her B.A. It was cool to be there for her. She was so lovely in her black and white flowered dress and of course as soon as she could she put on her signature trenchcoat! Congradulations sweetie! You ROCK! Cosmos or somew thing at Fair Oaks!
Well I am off to sleep and try to have a great week. New school crazy schedule, just great. Hope our weekend was a fun as mine!
