I was listening to my new CD Heart's Greatest Hits 1985-1995, and I recalled Alone and why it means so much to me. I fell in love with that song and a boy gave me the cd for my birthday along with a cassette of him playing it one his hight tech keyboard for me. I still have that tape. My step sister reminded me of it last week as she sang it way off key (on purpose).
It reminded me of a time long ago. It also reminded me of where I have come from and where I am going. I have changed so much since I was 18. I have been through so much. I have lost and found so many treasures. I know who I am. I like who I have become. I am a strong, confident woman who has a crazy family who taught me how to love and not lose hope in people. I love with all my heart even if it could get me hurt. I have found my biological Dad. I got married. I got divorced. I am still in touch with my first love. I don't hold a grudge. I get to be silly in period costumes. I have some wonderful women friends. I have just some great friends in general. I am very fortunate to be healthy and happy. To quote Leslie Light,"I have the best life!"
