ABOUT WORLD TAROT DAYTM
(From DenElder's WorldTarotDay.org, the originator of World Tarot DayTM):

Motto : "The Light you seek can be found in your own lantern."©

Dedicated to: every person who has, does, or will recognize Tarot as a valuable self-help tool.

Description : "To promote the use of the Tarot tool across all human made borders, be they political boundaries, misunderstandings of the mind, or ignorance of the tool itself, for the benefit and growth of the Spiritual Self."

Purpose :
1) To promote Tarot's use beyond any public conception of it as 'evil' or Satanic.
2) To promote Tarot uses in honest manner with integrity.
3) To promote the use of Tarot in responsible manner beyond both use as an unsavory monetary "fortune-telling" scheme, as well as use as a crutch by those unwilling to take responsibility for their own future and/or behavior.
4) To promote Tarot use as a tool for self-examination, spirituality, and other self-aide methods of guidance.
5) To have at least one day to celebrate, share, and stimulate our love of the Tarot tool with each other, and to think about what we can 'give' to instead of what we can 'take' from the Tarot Community.

So I got a call Sat night from my good friend Tim Bank. He was in town for work and had brought along his 2 year old son Peter to visit with his folks while he was at the Convention Center in SF.(He lives in Wisconsin so I never see him!). He invited me over for brunch and to chat and hang out.

So I drive over to Oakland, up near my/our old high school as his folks live basicly across the street. And a little unsure if I will remember the house as it had been like 15 years since I had been there. And I recall it as I saw it, it looked the same. And then recalled the going to the back door verses the actually front door. It was really crazy weird. I mena I used to go here practically every day in high school. We had meeting here, we would all come here before going out to movies and such, and yeah he and I dated for a bit. But still it was like visiting home in a way. So His dad opens the door and then his mom is in the TV room with Little Peter who is trying to get "Oma" to go outside to look for turkeys! It was just plain odd in all the nostagic good ways. And then Peter saw me and came up and took my hand, saying "Outside. Turkeys!" (He is two after all). So we wander out side and then have to go see the horses as that is also where Peter saw the turkeys with "Pape Pete". It was so cute and he kept trying to get me to go places. Then Tim came out side to hang with us.

More when I get back form the doctors...
