Okay so it is Valentine's Day and I got some yummy cookies from one of my students.(I was filling in at my old schol today and she didn'tknow I was going to be there!) I gave all of my fellow staff members small heart shaped candles as candy is not as healthy!(I didn't need more so I figured it was okay not to get others more!) Of course I did give the kids candy to take home at the school. I know, I know... but they are kids... so shot me!
Any way, so I was asked, "What do you want for V-day?" I responded with, "Your time. Or whatever you want to share with me." The person was a little shocked. I didn't want stuff? What kind of woman was I? Well.... I don't need a "special" day to be appreciated. I personally would rather have appreciation every day. And If you find some thing you think I would love, give to me when you feel like not because the card company says "Today is the day!" I understand couples taking today as a time to show they care as life can get in the way of showing how you feel to each other, but again I personally still don't need stuff if I were in a couple. I would want time. Spend time with me doing something I love, or that you want to share with me or plan a nice dinner at home. Time is more important than stuff. I am not saying that I don't like stuff, BUT it is not manditory! It shouldn't be. Time is maniditory. It means more to know you want to spend time with me and do things with me. Stuff I can get for myself. Time I can only get from the ones I love. So if you ever wonder what to get me for any thing, offer to hang out and watch a movie, go for a walk, eat dinner in your house, watch TV or play games. It would mean more than stuff.
Okay.. wel enjoy your day and hope you get the time you need.
