Any who, Friday was SLOWWWWWW at work then I dashed home to get my stuff packed and ready for PantheaCon '06! I had been receiving Text messages all day about when was I going to show and such! Ugh! Don't rub it in that you had the day off! I get in my car and am about 1/2 hour from home when I realize I have no toothbrush, hair brush or the like. Yep I packed in a hurry. So I stop at the local Longs and get that stuff and get to San Jose by 7:15. I checked in with Hospitality and got hugs and a "Please don't leave me!" Then a run down on the drama(It is only FRIDAY!) It wasn't Too bad, but still. Then I find out I am in a room with 3 other people I don't know very well except by Ren. Faire Association so I go to see where I can put my stuff. Turns out, No Where! The people had taken over the room and made it their own with little consideration that a 4th person would be in there. It is a good thing this wasn't my first year and that no one gets to step on me because if I didn't know better I would have been A** out! So I go and talk to my dept. head and her eyes get big when I tell her who my roomies are supposed to be. She then gets me a new place to stay. I get to stay with Spiderdust,ladyicefire, and the Munchkin! They were the best room mates ever!(Again next year ladies!) Then I got a visit from a handsome person and they helped me get my stuff in the hotel and hugs before they went to do what they needed. ;) After that Leslie and I got together to talk about her new name and drink port. She also let Uncle Dark know I had a major crush on him,that I have had for many years actually. He is so damn sexy! Well he is! I turned 5 shades of pink and it wasn't the port! Then it was off to bed as I had to work and such in hospitality the next day!
Sat. was spent running around getting stuff for people, keeping the fort/presidential suite down and getting to see Thalassa do her Cards with Issues class. I had breakfast with Bert which was cool! I had some fun chatting with Les and Sarah Nagel in Vendors room and saw and purchasd a few things. Then I had dinner with the Boys from Dundra-Con and Kyle and thesandywitch, Orin, and Otto! It was cool. After Kyle and I talked about our lives and such as well as just catching up. Then we talked to PurprleRabbit about being Poly and read the article in the paper about her family and how her mother said "their lives are normal, almost boring considering they are a triad." Heehee... then we all chatted about going down to the dance, but as I got there and waited for it to start, something just didn't feel right so I said na... I was right. Les came up a few minutes later and was like"I don't know what it was, but it didn't feel right." Ah well.
Sunday was more of the same. Hanging out with friends, feeding the masses and going to the Tarot Panel. The wonderful Mary K. Greer was there as well as UncleDark, Thena, Dave and Yvonne as well as Thalassa. It was funny watching everyone around me as I observed how they all took in the info being given. After the class, Anastasia, Artemis, Kat and I went to dinner at the Steak house at the hotel.. That wasa great conversation and wonderful food. We got a lot discussed and I just enjoyed the company. Then it was back to being on shift and taking care of the Hospitality suite. I got a visit from my friend Jen and she shared about her new apartment and her new job! Yeah! She will live closer. Then later I got to take advantage of the big tub in the presidental suite which was great! A giant tub with jets after a long weekend! Heehee! Thank you thesandywitch for that. Slept okay but would have slept better at home.(=])
Monday was spent cleaning up saying goodbyes and getting last minute purchases. I really had a great time.
Then it was back home to dump stuff and have dinner with SageBearz. Which was good and odd all at the same time. He did his big brother stuff and told me stuff that I knew and stuff I didn't about our friends and his old friends I knew. It was nice to just catch up. I am glad he is doing so well.
Then it was back home to get ready for the week ahead. I have spent the last two days at my old job, which is cool and a pain. I haven't been able to do my new job and I had things I needed to do. Oh well. Well I am off. Hope all is well with you all!
