Getting ready to head home....

So Easter... hmmm what can I say. I went to church with Dad and stepmom but not the teenagers. "We can't be ready in half an hour!" WHAT? I was ready and I even showered and put on make up.... whatever. Then we come home and the Step mom wants to see if the grand child will come over or if her nephew(who has already said no) will come over to go on an Easter egg hunt. It's plastic eggs with money inside them. The teens said they didn't want to do it if there were no little kids so we didn't do it as the kids didn't come and the grandson's mother didn't even call! So my dad and I went and saw my Uncle Chris who broke his leg on Tuesday. He was doing okay, but it is a compound fracture and he was in a lot of pain. It was good to see him though. Then we had to go home and get everyone to go to dinner. Dinner was nice and I just enjoyed my food while they talked about things that don't concern me since I live in CA not here in NJ. Kind of tiring however as I had to hear about money issues and such and what things cost and how the parents have to pay for the hair cuts and school and such.... anywho...
I am leaving tomorrow for home and kind of glad. I mean I want to stay one more day but I can't. I have to work on Tuesday and have renaissance faire this weekend and life of my own in CA. Part of me wants to move here for a few years to try to spend some time with my dad, but as this trip always proves, that will never happen if Stepmom is around....
