The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity.
So there was BayCon which was amazing! I had a blast and met some wonderful people as well as got reaquainted with an old high school friend and her sweetie. I also got to see the Friday night Family in all their costuming glory! X Men amazing! I earned a BayCon Hero award which was an honor and a surprise. Next year I will have a big hand in running Con-Ops. I will do my best to follow in The OpsGoddess' footsteps. And I had a great time with the ConOps staff who were just play fantastic.
This was followed by two weeks of preparing and attending Valhalla Renaissance Fair. The first weekend I drove up by myself as Drew went up early to help set up our booth with Anastasia. I got to the condo we used(thansk to Drew's timeshare!) and crashed. Got up the next day, dressed and headed to site. We had amazing readings and finished the day at a record 37 readings! Best we had done in the 3 years we have been at Valhalla. Dinner with Anastasia, Drew and Dan(Our new build/break/ tall person crew guy). Pizza and drinks, but no wine. Oh well. Sunday was pretty good as well.
Then a week of work and finding out that we may get a new place to live.
Friday comes and back up to the mountains only to find out that bears love Tarot. We had a visitor stay in our booth Thursday evening who was trying to stay warm. Result was a ripped tarp and a bent pole. But the booth roof went up on Saturday and we did a surprising number of readings considering the rain. Drew's folks came to their first fair ever. Fair ended early on account of rain but we did okay. That evening had dinner with Drew's folks and Stride! She has actually seen one of the show's Drew worked on in his Foundation Imaging days! A lovely dinner was had by all and then back to site for Stride and we headed back to the condo for chatting with Drew's folks and then bed. Sunday was lovely but lacked business. I did get to reader for Dortea and Ceasera which was pretty amazing. 7 Major cards appeared in a 14 card reading. WOW. Big stuff going on for them but all stuff they can handle. The day ended with a new low for our booth, but we tore down in record time. However Drew didn't get on site for a good hour. So while we were ready to go we had to wait until he could get on site to load his vehicle. We headed back to the condo to clean up our stuff and head back down to home.
This week has been full of fun and panic. We are moving! New place will cost less and has a pool with pool service included in our rent. And still cheaper than the place we have currently. We will be packing and getting things ready and then hopefully hiring movers to get the big stuff.
We will also be doing a large purge of our stuff. So books, DVDs. clothes and such will all be going to Good Will, used bookstores and Friends of the Library. Be prepared to hear about it in small doses here and on Drew's page as well as Luth complaining that we are taking forever to get stuff moved. (Yes Luth, we have a lot of stuff.)
Also my Hubby is turning 35. If any of you can think of a good gift for him, let me know. I am stumped right now. I know he needs a Fair outfit for our gigs. But other than that, he hasn't indicated much. We are still using all the cooking stuff from our wedding which he is enjoying, but that is all I have right now.
Well off to bed and sleep and such. Moving is so much fun(If I say it more, it has to become true, right?)

And Happy Birthday!
You are an amazing person and I hope you know you mean the world to me, but I am not getting rid of any of my Kevin Smith stuff. You are getting them in my will however.=D
I expect we will see more of you because of our pool. I plan to swim laps so just make sure you don't get in the way or become too distracting.=P
Hugs
