Superman... ah the childhood memories.

Flipping channels and Superman is on. I had forgotten how cute Christopher Reeves was. And such a sweet character. He really played up the nerdy Clark Kent and the dashing and straight forward Superman. And those eyes, to die for.... He has the nicest smile too. And this is a slightly cheesy 80's movie. Margo Kidder was great as Lois! The flying scene is so... like a high school girl's dream of the knight in shining...cape. Of course the whole tricking her with being both Clark and Superman. It was kinda cute. And of course she was off in dream land about Superman because he took her flying when "Clark" comes over for their first date. Makes one wish Superman was real, but also knows that he would never be around. I mean with saving the world and all.... yeah.

Oh well enough of that... so silly.
Yesterday found a copy of Vampire Hunter D- Bloodluston DVD at a small used bookstore on Piedmont after going to Dr. Comics and Mr. Games. Very cool buy!
And last night was the group dinner for Liana and Rick then Dan and Mark took Rick and a bunch of guys to strip clubs, etc. I went with Liana, Laura, And Leslie to the Starry Plough and saw The Famous who did a kick a** country version of Purple Rain! Then we left and went to Crayons, a dive bar in Castro Valley, to get Liana drinks and just have girl chat. It was fun. After we headed back to Liana's place and met up with the boys. They seemed to have a ton of fun. Just two more weeks and the wedding is on. Yeah for these two.

So tonight off to dinner with Stephen and then a comedy show to see Greg Proops!http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0698681/ Love him! Always a good show I am sure!

Hope you all called your fathers today. I did and they are both great!

Only thing I didn't like about Superman was Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor. The character wasn't even slightly like Lex is supposed to be in any of his incarnations. Probably the worst role Gene Hackman ever played. it made me unable to watch his acting for years until "Enemy of the State" redeemed him in my eyes.

That flying seen is uber-sweet though. It's a really wonderful romantic movie.

Congrats on snagging VHD Bloodlust too. I was thinking about that movie just yesterday. I need to own it.

I got it for $10.95 used! It was a very sweet deal!

How goes it? Hopefully all is well in KC.

Is Thanis okay? I haven't seen him on LJ or heard from him in months. Hopefully he is doing okay.
