Okay so My friend took me to the airport and I got to sit in the first row. This is both good and bad. Good as I get off the plane faster, bad because I have no place to put stuff except over head which I couldn't get to. Oh well. Traveling on JetBlue is pretty cool. I say if you can, choose them. Got in to JFK in NY at 650 am Friday. Walked out to the curb and there was Dad! Yeah. Hugs and then the drive back to Nj to take Uncle Don to Princeton to get blood. Uncle Don is very ill and the blood transfusions are the ONLY thing keeping him alive(I am not kidding. Kinda sucks really.) We were there for a bit but then the nurses said go out he will be here for awhile, like 4 hours or so. So we went and go ice cream at Thomas Sweets and then headed to a mall. I got a few pieces of clothing and we went to see Madagascar. Cute movie, what I saw of it.(I fell asleep... so tired from the red eye flight!). Then back to Princeton to pick up Uncle Don. Finally head to the house and get a call to get a pedicure. So over to Aqua Spa we go. I get dropped off and Dad heads home. Say Hi to Lori(Step mom) and chat for a while to catch up on everyone. Also informed we are going to dinner with Andrea and Andre(Step sister and her husband!) later(at 8pm... it is 6:30 at this point.) Head home, run around and change for dinner. We are late and the "Kids" are there. we eat at a great Italian place with super slow service(It was slow on purpose.. served in courses.)

Today, Sat. I get up at 10:30 am EST, and shower. Have breakfast with Lori and Dad. Then we are off to Aqua Spa again to get a manicure for me and Dad went next door to get a hair cut. After we go get Uncle Don a sandwich and hang out at his place for a bit watching TV. He has a lovely cat. It is hard as I remember him so strong and lively. I know he is tired, but he has stuff he feels he needs to do. We leave, go get the cake for the family reunion. Six of the 7 brothers and sisters and most of the kids and grand kids all in one place for the first time in about 5+ years (not counting the funeral for Uncle Freddie last year!) It was odd to see my smile and eyes on these kids I am just meeting for the first or second time. And Aunt Kathy brought pictures of my Grand mother as a kid to show everyone. I look so much like her. She also gave me a picture of my Dad feeding me from FEb.1970. I was so tiny in my baptism dress. It was great to see all my cousins and catch up with the ones I know and meet their kids. Also Uncle Chris practically has a zoo in his back yard. He has a black bear he rescued and has raised for the last 7 or so years, Germain Peacocks(named after our family), deer, emus, turkeys and bunnies! I held the bunnies for my little 3rd cousins. They kids were so cute. One of them, Shelby took my hand and wanted me to go all over the house with her. Then it was all the pictures of everyone. All the first cousins then the second cousins(me!) then all the grand kids/3 cousins! It was a blast! We were the last to leave.

Tomorrow Lori is having the brothers and sisters and some of the kids over to BBQ. Then it is the Beach house on Monday. After that who knows. We may(I hope) go into NYC and do some touristy stuff. I wanna go back to the Algonquin and also St. Patrick's. And may be go to the top of the Empire State Building. We shall see.

Okay sleep now.... It is 2 AM!(Okay so it is only 11 pm PST... but still!)
Sleep Well SR!

I get back on the 30th late.
