"The soul should always stand ajar, ready to welcome the ecstatic
experience."
-Emily Dickinson
The Fool card represents the traveler on his/her life's journey.
Youthful innocence and potential lie within every moment. Learn to
look at life's situations in new innovative ways.
The fool represents knowledge that with life's challenges come
growth. The fool card also warns against being naive in regards to
an important situation in life. Are you seeing things as they truly
are, or as you want them to be?
The Fool represents being in balance in harmony with your
environment. He dances merrily along, however his eyes are looking
up and not seeing that cliff in front of him. This can be viewed
from two perspectives. He takes his attention away from focusing
only on lifes pitfalls and enjoys the dance, however if he spends too
much time dancing he'll be in for a big surprise ;)... Learn to love
your journey, keep your eye out for those challenging areas but don't
stay so focused on them that you miss the beautiful scenery around
you and the glorious wide open spaces above you. On the other side
of the coin, if you have spent too much time playing lately, it may
be time to knuckle down a bit.
And On that note,
experience."

And On that note,
Sunday was the Castro Street Fair and I was there with Tarot-To-Go(www.tarot-to-go.net). Met up with Anastasia at 7 am and packed up the cars to head in. We got there by 8:30 after looking for ice in Alameda to put in the cooler for drinks and snack for the readers. Ended up at Calla foods down the street from our booth for that! We set up out tent and added the drapery as the other readers arrived. We had an intor/reception table as well as 4 reading tables. We gave out fliers and chatted up the crowds. This was the 33 annual Castro Street Fair and the people were out even with the overcast weather. The morning was a little slow, but the day improved greatly. By the end of it we had given 85 readings and the bulk of them were in the 2-5pm time slots. I personally gave 20 readings.(I was surprised!) I was also compimented by people who were pleased with their readings! Yeah! We will be doing this event next year!
Then this past Wednesday I went to the Squat and Gobble to do a BATS (Bay Area Tarot Symposium) mailing and got to spend time with Thalassa, Rydel and Artimes and Anstaicia as well as Hobbit(AKA Dave). We chatted about the up coming event and then headed over to the studio at Blowfish(www.blowfish.com) to record our TTG Podcast! That's right I, Rose, will be on a regular Podcast! Coming to your TTG website soon! We interviewed Thalassa and I talked about The Shakespeare Oracle, Artimes talked about reading at Castroand Anastasia talked about LATarot Symposium. Hope it turns out as well as it felt!
Also this month is the end of Renaissance fair season and getting ready for The Great Dickens Fair! I have choir practice at the end of the month with rehearsals begining next month! I got my skirt out of the cleaners and am excited to be putting on my corset! May be this year i will take home a Dark Garden one all my own, but I will be posing in the window again. I need to plan my themes this year. More on that in a future post.
And last but not least, our house was looked at by a possible buyer. He is looking to keep it a rental and would "gladly" keep us as tenants. We shall see where it goes from here. After today I am not to worried, but still it was frustrating to have this thrown at the house.
And now it is time to go .. have a good night.
