So I was tired and not ready for the great Sat I had at Dickens. And I am finally posting as I am feeling a bit better even though I am still fighting to keep my voice for this weekend.
Sat. Got there and dressed and sang in Morning opening! Then went to second set. After went to tea with Heather, Her mom and her wonderful son Dale,! We had a lovely tea in the Tea shop and then I went to the Green Man Inn where I hide out when I am not feeling very run around and be social Like. Saw Christina, Roo and Martin and then went on the Father Christmas Parade and did the breezeway set. Then headed back to to the Green man. While getting some meat and sanwiches, I noticed that "Sam Weller" was looking for a H word for "The Minister's cat is..." game. I offered "Hysterical Cat" and was invited to sit table by "Mr. Pickwick" himself as well as given a glass of lovely port! We continued and then sang some songs and then the Queen showed up and the Pickwick Men sang Silent Night in very bad German and offfffff Key!!!!! It was silly but fun! After the lady sitting with them turned to me and said I had a lovely voice! I was so honored that some one I didn't know said such a nice thing to me. It just made my day. I did spend the rest of the day being silly and spent time with other friends the rest of the day as well as seeing DarkKitten in the DG window as BoPeep. At dinner, I got a phone call asking if I would be available to fill in and do a DG window on Sunday from 6-7. I was like"Okay" and then got to ask Gwen to do it with me!(Yeah Us!)Then much cuddling and giggling happened at home!
Sunday was hard to get moving, but I did and missed morning set as my throat was beginning to ache. I drank much tea and lemonade. I didn't sing at all. I visited and went to Mad Sal's and saw the Ladies Recreational and Oratorical Society! They were a blast. If I could join that group next year I so would! I had an idea for them but it is also more for my friend Antonio as they sing "Oh Oh Antonio!" and it would be silly to have him give the lady who sings that flowers after and then have him sit with another lady! It goes with the song! Any who...
When it was time for the window I was ready for the day to end,but I wanted to do the window. We
played cards and then tarot and finally I pulled out the Victorian Tarot and we showed off the
"God Bless Our Queen" Cards(their are two!) It was a nice window for the last one for a weekend. I liked it and think so did Gwen.
Then I came home and crashed. I stayed home and rested as I couldn't really talk. Yep, lost my voice. I spent the day in bed and didn't do any of the great ideas I had to clean and such. Oh well. Instead I spent the late afternoon helping Blaze get WOW on her 'puter before she headed out to Gwen and Jeebus's to do a rub down for them. Then back to work on Tuesday and cleaning up all the stuff that came up on Monday while I was home. Today was go to The High school I work at and update stuff as well as say good bye to a student who is moving to an new city. Still not talking well(I sound like a cross between Froggie from the Little Rascals and Kathleen Turner). Oh well... tomorrow is work at the preschool and then may be some Christmas Looking(as shopping isn't going to happen right now).
