Today I am going to do a card from a different kind of deck. This
one is by Doreen Virtue and it's the "healing with the angels oracle
deck". It works similar to a Tarot deck, but its messages are
designed to help you connect with your 'guardian angel" and are very
positive and motivating. Doreen Virtue's website is another great
place to visit for more inspiration, visit her at
http://www.AngelThe rapy.com

Today's Card: Freedom

"The angels guide you to freely express your true thoughts and
feelings with love"

You may feel trapped right now by life conditions. By drawing this
card the angels ask that you realize you are the only jail keeper
that ever surfaces in your own life. Whenever you realize that you
have the power to be free, freedom follows. Everything that you do
in your life is by choice, and you are free to choose again. Even
prisoners are free to choose their thougths so that they feel peace
and happiness under any conditions.

The next time you begin a sentence with the words "I have to" please
stop. Ask God/Universe/ Angels to show you some alternatives. They
will either help you complete the task from a loving mind-set so
taht you don't feel trapped, or will guide you to do something else
that you will love.

*You are free to be who you are
*Don't be a victim to circumstances
*Make empowering choices

Your link has a superfluous space in it that's breaking it. You may wish to take out the space between "http://Angelthe" and "rapy.com." Thought I'd let you know.

On the topic, though, I'm not really sure how I feel about an angel themed deck based off of Tarot. On the one hand, tarot does have its roots in christianity. On the other hand, it's become something that christians tend to despise as divinatory and therefore demonic in some way, kinda like the Ouija boards. They're all lumped together as some sort of commune with satan, which I don't like in the first place, but the idea of an angel themed tarot deck in this age just seems a bit... paradoxical. Or at least, far more open-minded and forward thinking than most Christians come. To me, anyway. Maybe this is just the Lutheran upbringing in me talking.

Or it could just be my general lack of knowledge about the subject in general. Feel free to tell me I'm completely off base here.

I think the answer is more about what makes you feel comfortable. The Angel Oracale does work well with a Tarot deck, but I see you point.

Also it isn't a "Tarot Deck", it is an oracle. So itisn't used the same way as a Tarot deck is but gives good insight none the less. Itis all a matter of preference really.

I just liked the message, it just happened to be from this deck.

It's a good message. I didn't mean to say I didn't like the idea of it... just that it seemed a bit odd to have any sort of divinatory deck based around angels.
