Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay.

BUT options will be restricted.

You are not allowed waterfront property. That is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

That's how it is here, too, actually. Except for the bit about big hotels kicking people out -- both the government and the people here are rather militant about maintaining unrestricted coastal access.

It's actually true that the president can send foreigners home and he can do it without any motivation whatsoever, other than because he bloody well feels like it. But it's done by specifically singling out the foreigner to be sent home, and then a presidential decree is what gets the person kicked out. The president has no time to bother to exercise this power.

This sounds markedly better than the ability to throw foreigners in Guantanamo Bay with no reason whatsoever.
