In the 16thCentury it was considered sodomy if you had sex in the woman superior position, as well as if you were having a homosexual relationship the boundaries of age could not be reversed i.e. if you were older and you were the bottom that is considered sodomy. It's the reason the artist Benvenetu Cellini was arrested he was with a younger man and catching when he should have been pitching.
