I don't know what distinguishes this from any other party with a political purpose (as opposed to a familial or social purpose) except that you advertise on the web and some strangers with similar interests might show up to party with you.

Not a bad idea to connect with your community.

Could be interesting. you should drop a note to Tiffany about it. Also something to consider or discuss when you throw the party Tiff passed this on to me:

Prop. 4 is yet another Parental Notification Measure for abortion, as
if Californian's hadn't already rejected this bad idea twice
already... (2005 & 2006). Why can't they leave well enough alone? This
will be on the Nov 8 ballot with the general election.
----------
1287. Waiting Period and Parental Notification Before Termination
of Minor's Pregnancy.
Constitutional Amendment.

Proponent: John Smith

Amends California Constitution to prohibit abortion for
unemancipated minor until 48 hours after physician notifies minor's
parent, legal guardian or, if parental abuse reported, an adult family
member. Provides exceptions for medical emergency or parental waiver.
Permits courts to waive notice based on clear and convincing evidence
of minor's maturity or best interests. Mandates reporting
requirements, including reports from physicians regarding abortions on
minors. Authorizes monetary damages against physicians for violation.
Requires minor's consent to abortion, with exceptions. Permits
judicial relief if minor's consent is coerced. Summary of estimate by
Legislative Analyst and Director of Finance of fiscal impact on state
and local government: Potential unknown net state costs of several
million dollars annually for health and social services programs,
court administration, and state health agency administration combined.
