Things went very well.
Wed. I went to the 95.7 The Wolf Holiday Appreciation Party and saw Bucky Conventing and Gretchen Wilson! She was amazing. I can't wait until her 4th album comes out. She is just down home Southern Rock and it was great. Misfish and I had a lovely time and and adventure getting back to BART. We made the last train home as the show ran a little late. But Man it was so worth it.
Thursday was a TTG gig where I read for a Holiday Party in Redwood City. The people were so sweet. And it was an annual event so I hope we get to do the gig again next year.
Friday was dinner with Sarah and Josh and Brooke. The happily marrieds were so sweet together. We had a wonderful Broccoli and Cheese soup from scratch. It was tasty. We played a slapping card game, very fun, and some Wii as well. The conversation was lively and I look forward to getting together with them again. May be head to Dave and Busters for REAL skeet ball or other fun games.
Saturday was Santa Zita Ladies Tea at Dickens. It was great to see everyone in different dress than usual. I loved the dress Michelle made for Leslie. It suited her perfectly. And Kairi made me some fabulous pillows! I was so happy to see Liana and Jonathon(and Rick too...). Jonathon is getting so big! And If you get a chance to see Roo's new outfit especially the hat, you will all wish to be a sailor or at least as pretty as she is in in this lovely Nautical creation. And as usually Christina was there and took some time off the dance floor to join us in the Tea Room. And she is right, her new dress is a long cheerleader's skirt and lovely plaid. And Of course there was Heather looking ready to be closer to done than she is with her little one on the way. I can't wait to meet the newest Shumaker when she arrives! Babies.. so fun to play with and then give back. :D We had a delightful time at tea I think.
I also got to spend some time with Catherine, Jimmy, Camar and Kyle, all out in their Dickens finery. I also saw Natalie, Natasha, Patrick, Perry, Gwen Rose In her Solo DG Window, Tom, Adam, Erik, Tia and Tobie. I am sure there was more but that is all the ones that are able to make it into this post... I know I am forgetting someone. =(
It was fun and Drew actually had a decent time as well. I am glad he was able to come.
That evening we came home and had Pizza and just relaxed.
Sunday: My Birthday! Thanks for all the Well Wishes. It made my morning, and all day long. I snuggled in bed until I had to get up as we had theater tickets to see Phantom of the Opera, which Drew had never seen. We got to BART and hopped it to SF. It was a lovely production and think Drew enjoyed it.
After we went to Stacey's to talk about the ceremony and had a lovely dinner. We talked about the whole event and man did I feel a little lost. I thought I had got everything and well I almost have. we just need to think of vows. Harder than it sounds. Then it was back home to check email, Facebook and here.
I am a very lucky woman to have some pretty terrific friends and a great man. To steal a great line"I have the best Life." And I really do. =D
