Especially when you find out a 5 year old you taught and whose life you touch and who touched yours, died. She died in a fire at her home. The police/firemen where able to get her grand mother out but not her. She was a sweet child and loved to have stories read to her. She would climb up on the school couch and ask me to read to her. When we would go outside, she would make me pictures and want me to "watch the baby!" I was so upset I couldn't feel anything at first. I came home and cried last night. I just want to be able to say to her one more time,"Sure we can read The Cracked egg again."

There are certain things that should never happen. I don't think more needs to be said.

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't think alot of people understand how attached teacher's can get to their student's. It is like losing one of you own. You know I am here if you need a shoulder to cry on. Just call me and I will be there. Love you!
