So Went to fair this weekend. I had a blast. Got to see Belles of Bedlam show and of course Broon and Moonie sumit. Then went home. On Sunday just hung out at the house and sewed beads on Snoopy's costume pieces and watched Brotherhood Of the Wolf. That was very moving and gave me great ideas for a 7th Seas Charater. I love the Italian lady's fan. I want one. May be Bill will get me a connection for one. We shall see.

I got am email on Friday, my new dress will be ready for Folsom!!!! YEAH... I can't wait. And tonight I was told it was embroidered. Hee hee. I shall look very snazzy. I am excited about the activities we have lined up and hope all goes well.

I would like to say that if I could I would move to SF. I just want to have a change. I know it isn't possible, but some days... Well, may be some day.

I feel like life is going on all around and I am missing it. I live my life and work and play and go to faires, but I know I could do more if I didn't need to sleep or whatever. I feel like I should be things I am not. Then I realize that I am all I can be at the moment and not to just settle. I need to keep dreaming and figure out what I want out of life. Every one goes through this and I am stronger than I think. I just need to remember that on days when I want to kill my students who are driving me crazy or the guy up the road who didn't turn on his blinker even though that is what they are for or the lady who is just a bi*** to everyone around her because she thinks she can.

Well it is off to bed so I can get up and go to work in the morning... night all...

saw ya in the audience...thanks for stopping by!!! the shows where hot this weekend, heather was standing in for ruth, which changed stuff...vbut it all worked well. we had, thru the day, all the big wigs see our shows, and they all laughed their asses off..... which is awesome!!!! wish i could hit folsom...i miss that faire. :)

and ya know, ya never need to be more, just make yourself happy! if ya want to live in san fran, there are always rooms for rent (heh...even one here!) but it is a different world on this side of the land. :) hugz dearie.....

The fan is a japanese weapon, not italian, and the actual fans were MUCH different in design. They were made as slashing weapons, the spines extending just enough to have the blade put on them (about a quarter inch if I recall correctly) and were always covered with a thin layer of cloth to be more easily concealed. But, if you can talk the costume gods into it, go for it.

It's good to hear things are going well for you. Whenever I hear that someones trying to focus on being somewhat "zen" it gives me a bit of relief about what they might have in front of them.
as for the fan Idea, I do have to agree with twitch-alicious in that they were an asian design of a weapon, but then Italy had connections and trade with the asian market. so in the historical aspect, it could probably work out.
as for the concept of it.....hehehe...I could make one fairly easy...
