Well Last night was nice and relaxing. Got to Con after work and filing taxes(Yeah Refund!). The drive down wasn't bad considering it is a holiday weekend.
Found Parking and then off to Hospitality. Walked in to "Sign up for 5 shifts!" But I haven' even looked at the program? What abut my classes? Oh well. So I signed up. And Lucky me, I got shifts that DON'T interfere with the classes I wanted to take. Yeah! Then it was off to find Leslie and unpack my car.
Hugged Geoff and he helped me lug stuff up to the room. Leslie was in Vendor's but it was too late to go in. So I met up with her after she closed up her table(Working for Nagel Foundery! They Rock!) And saw Stacy! Cool, cool. All is well there.
Then off to dinner we go. Applebee's wasn't too bad. Then back to Con and a glass of wine(Yummy!)We then went up to Hospitality to see what was what, when Call from Steven and he came by with my shirt. He hung out for like 3 hours I guess just chatting with us about fair and such. I was in bed when Sandy came by, looking for Con-Ops and mentioned the shirts from Sab. So I gave her money to pick up mine which she did! Yeah fun shirt! Then off to sleep.
Awake by ^6:30!?! Why I have no idea. Couldn't get back to sleep. So up and had shower and breakfast with Leslie. She went to Vendor's Room, I went to Hospitality. Chatted with people, cross stitched. Then went down to Vendor room to see what was there. Saw Dark Garden Corsets and Nagel as well as Utili-Kilts and The used Book people(Will post them next post). Got Dime Store Magik!(Thanks for the recommend, Sage) and a cool necklace charm. Then off to work my shift in Hospitality. Was quiet but people were in classes. Nice smooth shift. Got more done on Dragon of Fire. Yeah me. Then off to find lunch.
At 1:30 went to Thalassa's class. Was informative and entertaining as always. www.daughtersofdivination.com is her site. This year's card was Force XI,major arcana, but I am unsure what deck. I am going to try to hunt her down later and ask her questions. I will be attending her classes at Ancient Ways next month and am all excited. Also am going to see if Mary Greer is available for a reading tomorrow. I have only ever had one other person read my cards so It would be interesting to see what some one else see besides what I see when I read for me. A new perspective and all. Also went over some old notes on my Life-Year Cards and funny how they were true especially these last few years. WOW. And well looking back, yeah. So You can laugh if you like, but the Tarot does have insight we just don't always see. This year is the Lovers-6 in the major arcana. My personality card and soul card as well as the card in play at my birth, and it is the card of this year. We shall see what it means as the year progresses. Okay so off to the next bit.
Went back to Hospitality and well had a funny feeling. Something just wasn't okay for me. Figured out what it was and will now shield self. Some people's energy if you will is not in a happy place. (Good Gravy, that sounds so bubble headed...but don't want to point out other people's issues. Be quiet Megiloth!) So I left and have come down to room and am here typing. Going to dinner in a bit and then up to work from 11 pm to 1 am. If you are in the area, come up to Hospitality and say hi. It is okay to visit, just don't try to attend classes if you aren't going to pay!
