Well, this weekend was fun! Got up to site at about 845 pm and helped finish Bill's tent set up. A friend pounded the tent stakes in so hard that night that on Sunday it was kinda hard to remove them. Hmm, may be one should never allow an angry man to let his aggressionsout on tent stakes...oh well as long as it help him not kill the person he really wanted to hurt, I guess it is okay. Any who... got to see everyone and chatted with James about a great gig. Even got permission to do it, but then it got changed at the last minute and James still has no land! Damn! Oh well I guess he will still have to marry Dorthea for her lands and title! Oh well, Sorry James.
I got a new ring from my "fiancee" and it is really pretty! Snoopy has great taste!(Okay so I picked it, but he did buy it!) And at Battle Pageant I got to fight over his body with not one but 3 other women! I got trumped by the Countessa!(Go Adam! A Countessa, a Princess and two other high ranking ladies in their respective guilds, crying over you and fighting over you on the battle field!I think only you had that many pretty ladies on you out there!)
Got to try to shop for clothes for my cute Spaniard, but there was no good boy clothes at this event. Okay so he isn't mine just yet, but his character might be courting me.(It could be a funny gig, J!) He was a sweetie! I love gigging and being silly with Jimmy. He is co cute.(Well you are, so get over it!)
Had a nice sleep both nights as I finally went out and got an air mattress!(I used one at SLO fair and was sold!) I am now in charge of two steward's for the Bill. Unfortunately only one will be at the next event and then there is only one more major event for the season. Ah well. We also helped mess with the Spanish by rearranging their guild yard and stacked some of their chairs crazy and used their jenga set to spell "Viva St.M." hee hee it was cool! Then after tear down and such went to dinner with Jen and jeebus at the Olive Garden. Nice even if the directions sucked. Food was good as well as the company.
Then home to deal with dad. New car and his battery died on Sunday! So I had to go get him and let him crash on my couch. Then it was drop him off at his house on Monday morning and and get my house keys on my way home as he still had stuff at my place. He is finally at the old homestead and having the floors redone then his furniture will come and such. It is a big house for just one person, but Mom will be back to visit at christmas and out here when she retires. I was weirded out by going there when there was no furniture. I mean I lived there from 1979(six month then gone to Europe and back in 1985) until 1989,then off to college, then moved back in from 1995-1998(while the folks rented to me, husband and sister while they were in japan!). And it was just odd to see the changes and how my perspective has changed after all these years and memories of this house which is my home. When I think of home it is this house. Some times I wish I could move in there, but then again it is not my current home and it is where so much has happened I might want to forget, but it is still home. I know that was convoluted, but it is how I see it. Wish it were simple but it isn't.
Well off to lunch. Later people.
