So I spent the weekend walking a track or hangingout at a track for a great cause. I did the Relay for Life with my awesome team,The Punk Walkers. We raised $2,000.00 ourselves and the event raised $100,000.00! The team walked in shifts of 1 hour spans and while I walked my all of my second hour, I had help in my first hour. I almost passed out. But my Sweetie walked 1/2 hour for me so I didn't faint. Thank you Keshian! We did have a good time and we will be doing this again next year! That is reight Gwen Rose, we will do this again.
After the closing and clean up of our site, I headed to Twitch and Michele's to go look at a wedding site in Fairfax. It was a little far but very pretty. We will see how it goes, but it looked good. It is not cheap, but it might be worth the expense. We shall keep looking. Any suggestions are welcome! We are looking for a woodsy place with an ability to have both the wedding and reception in the same place(per the Bride) and not to far away from the Bay Area. We then left there and headed to Mills College as they do weddings there and have a nice place to hold a wedding and reception. Then after that we went to The Clairmont Hotel and Spa. It was on the pricey side, but nice to look at. The hunt continues for the best place to watch the Twitch and Michele tie the knot.
Then I was taken to The Cheesecake Factory for an earluy dinner late lunch. It was yummy and after we headed back to their place to watch 27 Dresses. Funny stuff. Now aI am heading to bed and sleep the sleep of one who walked for a good cause and supported her friends as they did the same.
Soon I will need to find a place for my wedding too... hmm what do we want? Will post as soon as we know.
