So I am at the cafe I hang out at and just listening to some friends converse about the classics of lit. I feel out of place sometimes as I haven't thought about classics in about 10 years.(High school really) And some times I wonder if I am missing out on not knowing Ginsburg by heart or that Sylvia Palth(sp) wrote such and such poem. I am busy with running a pre-K class and trying to get kids to write their names that classics for me become " It Looked Like Spilt Milk" or "Where the Wild Things Are." I wonder if I should go back and read War and Peace or Catcher in the Rye or the Odyesse again. Oh well real life comes first I guess. Bills, Job, Mate, and not in that order. Just thoughts.....
Also, when someone dies but leaves you music, should you stop listening to it? They are gone but their music is still there. His music is still in my head as well as on a tape and I sometimes want to cry and sing and scream at the loss of such talent and such a man.....
