From juice_weaselI used to go and serve food / dinners to the less fortunate. That place has sense shut down. Do any of you know of any places in your areas that need help serving, cleaning up, cooking, wahtever? I think those of us in the Bay Area should find a place to go and we should all go and help out... It is the season of giving afterall..

I'm thinking that we should do this as a group. We can get others that are not on my list so feel free to cross post to your journals if you want..
We just need to find a place that can use us...

Anyone wanna do it? When I did it, I felt really good aobut it,. it was better than going shopping and crap. Some places even have gifts for the kids. I bet if we wanted we could bring gifts for the kids... Booda and Shawn will have to fight for palying Santa.. Maybe a game of Washing the Cup to decide?

there are some churches in livermore that serve hot meals. My agency does food baskets for families, we dont have the faculities to do hot meal serving. and then for the holiday we have the gift warehouse and food distribution, so my hands are pretty tied there since all the time and engery i spend on that is volunteer time for me. it is rewarding, but if anyone wants to help locally, they can call the main office and speak with our volunteer corrdinator.
