Look it is me with Yakko Warner aka Rob Paulson. And he even signed a poster for me while saying in Yako speak"Helllllooooooooo, Sally!" It was so cool!
Okay so wait there's more... but we must say the other stuff first.
Wed. got back my student reviews of my midterm. overall helpful and good input. Teacher review this coming week.
Okay so Thursday! Well a friend let me know that Livermore as doing it's film festival again this year and Mark Hamill would be there Promoting Comic Book:The Movie!. Luke Skywalker!!! Okay so I got to go. I mean I still have my Star Wars figures from when I was little!(No they are not in their original boxes etc, I played with them and some you can tell I did). Any who... So I let people know what's up, but itis either too expensive or they had plans already. Okay so Huggy and I go. We meet outside the Vine Theater in Livermore at 6:30 and Mark is having dinner in the Zepher Grill. These two young men are looking in and saying, "Dude! Luke Skywalker looked at me!" We both knew how these two kids felt. I saw my first Star Wars movie in 1977 with my folks in the the theater in Oakland(Grand Lake, I think). The in 1980 I saw The Empire Strikes back in London when we were there visiting. my dad knew I didn't want to go to the British Museum if I had a choice between that and Star Wars!(I later went back and had fun at the Museum.) Then it was at the Stuttgart Army base I saw Return Of the Jedi with all my friends. Yes I was Princess Leia for Halloween one year and had a crush on both Luke and Han Solo. Yes I wanted to play with Wicket. I loved those films. So to meet Mark Hamill? I just couldn't pass that up.
So in to the theater we go and we are early and get "good" seats for the show. In walks these two kids dressed as Jedi. Of course Brad put it best, "Jedi don't wear flip flops!" Heehee, but they were trying.
Then I go back to use the rest room when in comes Donna D'errico and Nicky Sixx of Motley Crew!!! What are they doing in Livermore? Donna was in the film. Cool! Then I go back and sit down. and Brad is like as hyper as I am to see the movie and they did a question and Answer before the film! We meet not only Mark, but Debbie Derryberry from Jimmy Neutron fame, Rob Paulson of Animanicas and voice of Carl on Jimmy, and Donna and Eric, the assistant director of Comic Book: The Movie. So we listen to people ask a few questions then Brad goes down and asks the last question and asks if he can shake Mark's hand before the movie starts. The movie is so classic comic book fan boy movie and just like sooooo many people I know that I can't wait for the DVD! Then the movie was over and people were leaving so we go to be in the 2nd row and ask questions of them. I asked if he meant to look like George Lucas or was that just an unplanned coincidence. He said actually it was unplanned. He was so nice. And HE asked the guy in the Storm Trooper Uniform how he sat as Mark and Harrison had to sit on Saw Horses when in those uniforms! It was cool! After Brad and I followed him out of the theater and we go his autograph and pics with him! Fun. Then we got to talk with Rob for a bit and he is just the sweetest man. I had wanted to say thanks to Debby, but she had run off to get the car for Mark and herself. They were so sweet. And after i had a great chat with Brad! Brad makes me feel good to be 34 and not the only geek from the 80's who was moved by the pop culture of the time. Thanks brad for coming with me and let go see Shaun of the Dead. Don't forget to drag out Monika!

I think that is all around awesome. I think I have some envy now. :P :) I love the pictures. Wow... Mark Hamill has put on a few years. I always remember him to much as the youthful boy I remember in the various starwars movies. I guess that is always how I will think of him till I am confronted with his real picture. :P :) Ah well.

Anyways... way cool. Talk to you later

Yep... I do remember that. Sad that he got into the accident, but they did do a remarkable job with the reconstructive surgery. Maybe it was because when empire came out I hadn't seen his face in years... but I didn't notice that it had changed much. Yet sometimes I miss details easily. :P :)
